Hello Everyone!

The semester is at its halfway mark and we hope that everyone survived midterms and all the stress that comes with it!

First off, we would like to congratulate the Concert Choir and University Singers on an outstanding performance this past weekend! There were rave reviews and this performance has only reaffirmed how wonderful this school is for choral music! 

Also, we would like to update that there are several conferences coming up in February that we encourage all our members to join in on. The only problem is that they're all on the same weekend! However, if everyone can participate in something that weekend, then choral music will still prosper. 

1. American Choral Directors Association Western Division Conference - November 20th - 22nd. Price is $65 before February 15th. This takes place in Santa Barbara.
2. Choral Leadership Academy - November 21st-22nd. Price is $75 to register, but people who go are eligible to receive funding. This takes place in Santa Barbara
3. CASMEC Conference - November 20th-23rd. Price is only $25 to register. This takes place in Santa Barbara

Hello All!

So far, ACDA @ CSUF has been taking the campus by storm.

This past Saturday, our chapter helped run the Cal State Fullerton Quartet Invitational Festival that is held every fall. Not only did we participate in sectionals and registration, but were able to engage on our collegiate professors working with everyday high school students in an honor choir format. It was a great experience.

In other news, our chapter is slowly putting up some neat things in the works. For one, we are pushing for our members to take part in upcoming concerts around the community, as well as registration with National ACDA for attendance of the Western Division ACDA Conference. And as a sneak peak, our board has been hard at working at selecting a potential choral speaker! Stay tuned!

You'll see our ACDA chapter at the SCVA Choral School, which will be placing both collegiate and active members in a fully interactive choral setting with Dr. Robert Istad (Cal State Fullerton) & Dr. Jonathan Talberg (Cal State Long Beach)! For all those interested in taking part of this fantastic event, late registration, as well as more information, is still available at scvachoral.org
